Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Baird, Verdence, Others

Baird Alexandria, Baird’s fourth private wealth management office in Virginia, joins locations in Fairfax, Lynchburg and Richmond. The new office will help grow the firm’s presence in the state. Wintz is joining Baird from Edelman Financial Engines, where he managed $286 million in assets. He has close to three decades of industry experience and in the past also worked for Fidelity Investments and UBS. Verdence has team members based in Maryland, Virginia, Massachusetts and Florida. Baird has appointed Sean Wintz as a director and financial advisor, based in a new office opening in Alexandria, Virginia. He will be supported by client assistant Uesa Robinson.
Verdence
Verdence Capital Advisors, an independent private wealth advisory firm, has appointed John R Piccirilli as a director, based in Sarasota, Florida.
Among Piccirilli’s roles prior to joining Verdence, he co-founded and served as principal of HNP Capital in New York, where he oversaw wealth and asset management operations. He has more than 20 years of experience in financial consulting.
The firm said he will “play a pivotal role in continuing to expand Verdence’s presence in Florida.”
Before his HNP Capital involvement, Piccirilli served as president of Five Star Bank Wealth Management in Rochester, New York.

Financial advisors Paul Williamson and Matt Hamilton have joined the independent advisor channel of Raymond James. Formerly of Commonwealth Financial Network – managing about $200 million of client money – they are based in Vero Beach, Florida.
Financial advisor Kevin Brown, meanwhile, joined the firm's independent advisor segment Charleston, South Carolina. Brown operates as R E Baxter and Associates, serving business owners, corporate executives, families, individuals and retirees over areas such as investment and financial plans. He arrives from Osaic, where he managed about $165 million in client assets, and is joined by office manager Karen Rose.
Working in financial planning services to clients since 1995, Brown spent six years at Osaic. His experience is backed by a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Clemson University, an MBA from LaSalle University and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary and Certified Trust Fiduciary Advisor designations.
